A beautiful Herend hand-painted fine textured porcelain teapot featuring a Chinese influenced pattern of flowers and butterflies with an applied rose and vine finial top and an applied delicate vine motif at the top and base of the handle. Measures 12.25” from handle to spout. Holds 84 oz. Marked on the bottom in underglaze blue “HEREND HUNGARY HANDPAINTED”. Excellent condition gently used, if at all! Original set, introduced in 1851 at the First World Exhibition in London, was purchased by Queen Elizabeth herself and subsequently named for her.
