HOT WHEELS 2024
Green '69 Mercury Cougar Eliminator #171
Hot Wheels Muscle Mania 3/5
There is a wrinkle on the card at the hook.

Black Stripes on Hood, roof and sides.

Produced: 2009 - Present
Designer: Rob Matthes

With a name inspired by the 1968 Cougar "Eliminator" funny car driven by "Dyno" Don Nicholson on the drag strips, the Cougar Eliminator package enhanced the base model with a hood scoop, front air dam, and rear spoiler. Standard engine was a 351 cu in V8 producing 290hp, but 390 cu in (320hp) and 428 cu in (335hp) engines were also offered. The Cougar Eliminator package was available for 1969 & 1970, then discontinued.

In 2014, Hot Wheels molded the spoiler as part of the metal body instead of a separate piece.

From the back of the 2009 card:

Birthplace: Dearborn, Michigan, USA
Designer: Ford Motor Company
Specialty: With hood scoop, rear spoiler, and four barrel V8 engine, this fast cat was made to eliminate the competition.
