PLEASE NOTE:

I put batteries in to test functionality ( which was perfect ),

However - 

The disc operates on 3 x AAA batteries, that are placed in a 

3 x AAA Battery Holder / Adapter.

When removing the batteries, the adapter just fell apart due to the plastic being brittle because of it's age.

These battery packs / Adapters are readily avail' on Amazon, Walmart, all over the web, ranging from $3 to $9 for a pack of one, two, three and even ten.

You just place the batteries in them and drop them into place, located behing a magnetic door on back of disc.

See last 3 pics - They show the open magnetic door, the adapter that fell apart, and the last pic I took from one of many listings on Amazon, just to show how it looked like before breaking, in case you want to buy a new one.
