In this listing we have a cute, but a bit TLC Superstar Barbie head. I don’t see holes behind the doll’s ears, so she is most likely not the original Superstar, but she uses the classic Superstar face paint. She has a bright pink skin tone, large two toned blue eyes with the most amazing blue eyeshadow, and peachy-pink lips. This doll has had all her hair removed, so she is ready for either a wit or a reroot. If you decide to reroot, please be careful with the holes, especially at the part, they can be a bit fragile. This doll was most likely made in Taiwan, but I cannot say for sure. My pictures came out a little muted, the colors are a bit brighter in person.

This doll head is in TLC shape. She still has some life left in her, but I think she has enough issues to mean she’s TLC. I did wash the doll, but she could use a more in depth cleaning. She’s not that dirty, but she is a little dingy. The biggest issue is that her neck is all beat up. Either someone carved it out or tried to glue it to a body and the glue degraded the vinyl. I am not really sure. I don’t know what happened, but it has a lot of scrapes, missing vinyl, and some bits of cut vinyl. It’s not terrible, but it’s certainly not great. I have not tried to put her on a body, so I’m not sure if she can go straight onto another body or if she will need some additional work to be compatible with a body, You can see some of the trimmed around the neck knob from the front of the doll’s head. You can also see it from the sides and the back. The doll’s scalp looks good. Like I said her hair has already been removed. Along the doll’s part line some of the hair plugs have torn and merged together, but not many. At the front of the doll’s head there’s a half moon shaped section of rooting that has torn along the line. I would be careful with that area and if not needed, not root it. There is some excess vinyl in the inside of the doll’s earring holes. The doll’s face paint looks good. She does have some spot spots of chipping and missing paint to both eyebrows, it’s more obvious in the left eyebrow compared to the left. The doll’s eyes look good. She has some excess blue paint above her left eye and some small bits of overspray with the blue paint above her eye. There are some small paint flaws in both eyes, but they are pretty minor. They’re not bad, just not perfect. The doll’s lips look good. I think her lip paint was shifted up. Her upper lip is a bit bigger compared to her lower lip. The doll’s teeth paint looks good, but the paint is a bit thin on the sides and you can see some of the teeth paint through the lip paint in a few places. It’s more obvious on the left side compared to the left. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll head and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to others.
