Nice displayable, WWII Type D-1 shearling jacket in as found condition made by the Western Leather Co and is a size Small, and they do mean Small. The contract number is 42 which puts this as early/pre war production and likely saw service. No smells whatsoever.

Jacket is stamped for the Army Air Force on the shoulder and bottom of the storm flap. The leather is in good condition with one small rip in the back (see photos) and one at the top of the main zipper, the damage looks old, but hard to say. This is an 80+ year old jacket so please keep that in mind if you're hoping to wear it as things get brittle with age.

The main zipper puller has come off at some point but I found it in the pocket. The puller could likely be installed again but I'll leave that to the new owner. Zippers have a little tarnish as shown but should clean up with careful cleaning.

There's some heavy dust/dirt on the lower front that does come off, but I don't want to clean it as many collectors have differing opinions on how they want it done.  See photos to best judge the condition of the jacket, what you see is what you get. Will be packed in an oversized box to reduce folding. What you see is what you get, no returns accepted so please look carefully. Happy to send more pics if needed. Please ask all questions before buying, thanks!
