Brand New NOS KR Enterprise VV32B Tubes

This is an auction type of sale. The starting bid is low so anyone can bid on these.

For Sale is a Factory Matched pair of KR Enterprise VV32B vacuum tubes in original boxes. I bought these in the year 2008 with intention to build the Amity Power Amp (you can search on Amity to find the schematic).

These tubes are ultra-linear and contain the special 32 segment filament.

These tubes are a higher power version of the popular 300B tube with higher filament current required. You can use these in place of the 300B if your amplifier can supply the extra filament current (2 Amps instead of 1.2 for 300B).

And if you want more power you will have to change the bias and increase the driver output, so it may require some redesign.

Here are some common maximum power ratings.And we typically operate tubes at 60% of maximum.

EL34 25 Watts

KT-88 35 W

VV32B 70W

VV52B 85W

These require a filament voltage of 5.0V at 2 Amps. I measured these on my calibrated TV-7 D/U, 

Gm = 4500 umhos. Since these filaments are Tungsten I always power up the tubes slowly with a Variac to prevent the initial surge current of a cold filament. Remember Tungsten light bulbs almost always burn out when the light switch is turned on. In the photos you can see the boxes and both TV-7 Tube Tester readings of 90, exactly matched.

Both boxes contain the warranty manual and I have included pictures of that.
