1987 Renault Trafic Camper
MOT until Dec 2024

The van was originally a1.7 petrol but it has been converted and now has a 2.5 diesel engine from a later model.

Only had it 6 months or so but in that time it's had - heavy duty starter battery, cambelt, engine, gearbox and transfer box oils changed.

Starts easily and potters along great. It does not have power steering, although this can be fitted. Once your moving it is easy to drive. It will sit at 55/60 no problem, any faster and it gets a bit hairy.

It has a Propex Heat Source gas heater with digital controller. Works a treat and keeps the van toasty and warm.

Electric hook up with cable included.

Gas hob with 2 gas bottles, 1 spare one is currently empty the other has some in, but not sure how much

Under the van are clean and grey water tanks. Pumped water to the main sink and hand wash sink. There is a gas water heater, the ignition sounds, but I have not fired it up.

The fridge is gas only and the pizo electric ignition is not working.

I would recommend getting the gas serviced to make sure both fridge and water heater are working properly and safe. We didn't bother as only been on short trips and put a few ice blocks in the fridge.

There is a brand new spare tyre on the rear wheel carrier.

The Speedo is temperamental so I've added a satellite Speedo which is much more accurate.

The van in nearly 40 years old so will be MOT and Tax exempt in 18 months or so.

Usual bit of tin worm around the arches as you would expect for such an old vehicle. It will require ongoing TLC - rub down and a rattle can. For the moment though a great starter van with a comfy bed and reliable.

There are a pair of wing mirrors spare to go with the van, also a 5L bottle of clean water tank disinfectant and a bottle of clean water treatment. Just had a new set of keys cut costing £45.

Viewing is highly recommended before bidding or buying. If you're the winning bidder you own it at the price bid, no trying to haggle afterwards.

DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE TOO POOR TO PAY. HAD TWO WINNING BIDDERS NOW WHO TURNED OUT TO BE PAUPERS WITH NO MONEY.
