Solid Brass Electric Guitar String Retainer Tone Block Ferrule
Add some class and mass to your next guitar build! This brass string retainer block gives you perfectly aligned string holes while potentially adding to tone and sustain. Replaces traditional string ferrules.
- New design fits both 2-1/16 AND 2-1/8 inch string spacings.
- Weighs approximately 2.65 oz
- Router template included (I suggest using a 3/8in pattern/template bit).
- Lightly brushed face finish (You can polish it if you'd like. Start with 800 grit wet and work your way up.)
- Use a very small dot of glue on the bottom at each end to hold it in place during full string changes if needed.
- Precision milled in Michigan from a solid block of brass.
Note: Router template is oversized by ~0.007 inch on all sides to allow space for finish. If you need a tighter fit, line the template with one layer of blue painters tape. You want a snug fit, but you should NOT have to force it in. Always test your fit on scrap wood first!
