Please take the time to read through my entire item description and view all the photographs.  I consistently prepare accurate and detailed descriptions and provide clear close up photographs for all my listings.  The aforementioned notwithstanding, note the photos are still the biggest and most important part of this or any description.  As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words".  If you would like additional photos or have specific questions just message me and I will respond ASAP.

For your consideration is this tested and WORKING preowned AA battery powered quartz movement retro-vintage looking 9.0” round STERLING & NOBEL CLOCK COMPANY – Mfg. No. 9 black and antiqued brown and brass colored railway station style wall clock.  This nostalgic looking wall clock is fashioned and designed to evoke the fond memories of yesteryear.  The clock used to hang in my office but since retiring I no longer have a need for it so I thought I would offer it to someone else to enjoy.

The diameter of the clock front measures approximately 8-3/8” and glass face is approximately 7.0” in diameter.  The clock casing is approximately 3-1/8” wide.  The back side of the clock has a diameter of approximately 9.0”.  The clock weighs approximately 1.0 pound, 15.0 ounces (2.0 lbs USPS) by itself.  Refer to description photos #16, #17, #18 and #19 to confirm the weight and size dimensions I described.

The clock is encased with a matte black finished composite plastic material that closely simulates wood.  The background on the clock face has an intentionally distressed black finish that features raised antiqued brass colored rings with numbers and two ornately shaped black metal hands that clearly designate the hours and minutes on the clock.  The front of the clock has a clear glass cover that protects the clock dial.  I included numerous photographs of the clock entire outside perimeter from different angles/vantage points.  Please refer to description photos #1, #5, #6, #7, #8 and #9 for more details about what I have described.

The clock face also features a “faux” keyhole that resembles where the clock’s internal spring mechanism would have been wound back in the day.  Refer to description photos #1, #3 and #4 for more details.  The center of the clock’s face has (5) five lines of information printed at the top, lower-center and bottom that read as follows below.

“STERLING & NOBEL”

“CLOCK COMPANY”

“REGISTRATION”

“SERIAL No. 2,055,787”

“Mfg. No. 9”

The clock mechanism is a battery operated quartz movement that is powered by (1) one AA battery (BATTERY NOT INCLUDED).  The clock has been thoroughly tested and is in excellent working order; it keeps perfect time!  As can be verified in description photos #10, #12 and #13 the clock’s battery compartment remains exceptionally clean.

The back of the clock has a protective brown pressed wood board cover that is securely attached to the clock casing with (10) ten small Phillips-Head screws as can be confirmed in description photos #10, #11, #14, #17 and #18.  The clock back also has (3) three .50” diameter by .25” high rubber pads that prevent the clock from scraping the painted surface of the wall.  Note, originally there were four rubber pads; unfortunately one rubber pad is missing.  The aforementioned notwithstanding, the missing pad does not adversely affect the operation or functionality of the clock and can very easily be replaced.

The outside surface of the clock casing has a few scattered minor surface scratches and blemishes from normal handling but overall remains very clean and in very good looking condition as can easily be verified in the description photos.  There is no damage or repairs anywhere on the clock.  Refer to all the description photos to confirm the overall condition and for more details about what I have described.

Overall, this is a very attractive RETRO-VINTAGE railway station style nostalgic looking wall clock that will be sure to evoke compliments from everyone who sees it.  If you are looking to decorate a retro-vintage themed area of your home or office this wall clock will fill the need.
