A sweet, handmade Raggedy Doll. I used muslin for the doll. I stained the fabric and baked it in the oven to perfection! Her hair is strands of DMC floss. Her features are hand stitched., with a little wool nose. I am always searching the thrift stores for fabrics. The fabric for Ann’s dress is repurposed, vintage houndstooth wool. I find a skirt or jacket and cut it and wash it clean. Her red apron is a soft flannel with a wool pocket for her gatherings. The pocket includes dried Sweet Annie. Wonderful and fragrant. Her hair bow is attached with a dot of glue. She wears a ceramic heart with a rusty key attached. Her legs have painted stripes.. Raggedy measures about 24 inches. She will sit (with a little assistance) or hang her on a peg. The pattern is by Lizzie’s Homespun.
