This is an early iron pontil squat porter bottle from Philip Divine in Philadelphia, PA. It's embossed only on the front: "P. Divine. / Bottler / Philada". The iron pontil is huge on this one, with a diameter of about 2" and covering practically the entire base. This bottle has very thick glass; it's quite heavy and has some nice whittle. It measures just over 7" tall and 3" across the base. It's dark green in color and has a crude looking double collar lip.

Condition is good. It has some surface wear and inside staining common for iron pontil beers like this one. It looks like it has a very light bruise on the lip measuring under 1/2" in diameter. This is not particularly easy to spot with the naked eye, but it is visible when shining a bright light on the lip. I tried to get a picture or two of this, but it's tough enough to see that getting a decent picture doesn't work too well. Aside from that, it has a shallow 1/8" flake on the lip. There are a few tiny flea bites around the lip as well. Overall, these issues aren't too bad at all. This is a nice, crude example of an early Philadelphia beer. Please reach out with any questions and thank you for looking.
