Here's a tough to find squat Tuthill & Baldwin porter beer bottle from New York with vertical embossing. The base has an iron pontil and it's dark green in color with a double collar lip. It's embossed on the front: "Tuthill / & / Baldwin", with an unusual slugged out area behind Baldwin. The back is embossed "N. York." vertically. It's fairly small and light, measuring only 6.75" tall and 2.75" across the base. There are several large bubbles in the neck, one of which is open on the inside, which is unnoticeable by feeling the outside surface. It also has lots of very tiny bubbles in swirls, mostly on the back side.

Condition is decent. First off, it has some very light inside staining and some minor general surface wear. It has a fairly small flake off the side of the lip, measuring just over 1/8". There's a light, difficult to notice bruise to the right of this flake measuring about 1/4". It's tough to spot but I wanted to note it for accuracy. There's also a very flat, skinny, shallow chip measuring 1/4" at the longest point on the top of the lip on the other side. This is so shallow that it's only really noticeable when looking from the top down. Aside from that, there are a few very small flea bites on the lip. This all sounds like a lot, but it's not all that bad; all of these issues are small enough that it doesn't really take much away in my opinion. It's mostly noticeable only when looking from the top down, not when on the shelf. Please take a look at the pictures to judge for yourself. Overall this is a great example of a very scarce pontiled beer from New York. Please reach out with any questions and thank you for looking.
