Gabriela was American Girl's first Black Girl of the Year, which makes her a particularly important doll in this line. This is one of the few Costco exclusive character sets that includes the doll, meet outfit, performance outfit, and accessories. All of these items are in the box as it was packed originally. She's in pristine condition. I removed her hairnet (which I kept and have left in the box) and changed her outfit twice. She has not been played with or displayed. I did not brush her hair.
She would be a perfect doll for any child as she has an instant wardrobe and accessories. She's a great collector doll owing to her status -- and this particular doll is in excellent condition.
I noticed how expensive shipping is in the original box, which is not what I want. I will ship in a smaller box to reduce shipping costs. I have put Gabriela in an authentic American Girl hospital box. It includes her meet outfit, her original headband, her book (boxed separately), her extra performance outfit as shown in the photos and the accessories, also shown in the pictures. This reduced the shipping cost from $52.99+ to $13.56+, depending on destination, resulting in a $34.43 potential savings.
