This antique stoneware crock is a rare find, with its original fitted lid. The vessel was wheel-thrown and salt-glazed, with a putty white exterior glaze and variegated interior pumpkin glaze. It stands at 10 inches in overall height (9 1/2 inches without the lid) and has a cylinder shape with one compartment and a wire cut baseplate.
