This is the SILVA System Compass and Navigational Device
Distributed in the US by Silva out of La Porte, Indiana (marked on back)
This has the 53 etched on the top right corner of the clear plastic portion (see pics)
and on the back....etched.....SPFLD SCHOOLS
(I live near Springfield, Oregon so I am assuming this belonged to the Springfield School District at some point)
Minor signs of wear and use all of which I would expect
Compass is fully function as is the aluminum dial
Measures 3" x 2"...and is just over .5" in thickness
