The author has taken remedies from a Gypsy as well as secret writings from all parts of the world at different periods of time (as of 1856), and compiled them in this small book.  It contains remedies for consumption, swallow-wort, tape worm, and spider bites among many other ailments.  It also gives instructions on making soap powders, how to dye cloths different colors (red, blue, green), how to mend broken glass, how to make cattle return to the same place, and various other agriculture and animal remedies.
