Consistent honey gold surfaces demonstrate a hint of warm brown coloration across the higher areas of the design. Surface texture and quality is exceptional for the grade, near completely uninterrupted by marks or spots.

The International Exhibition was proposed by Jamaica native A.C. Sinclair. Opened in January 1891 by Prince George (future King George V), the 3-month exhibition received 302,831 visitors. Despite the high attendance, the exhibition ended up losing £4,500 for the organizers.
