This Listing is for a SET OF 6 Myron Van Brundt 1887 - 1963 HAWAIIAN PICTURE SQUARES 1943 I buy Art because it talks to me ;~) I found these - I liked them - I bought them ;~) That was a few years ago and now I need to find them a new home ;~0 After I own the Artwork that I buy - There is plenty of time to do the research and what I found is that I have another Treasure by a Well listed Accomplished born in Nebraska Hawaiian ARTIST - There is a lot of information about him on Ask Art you can read the whole story there These are vintage and old - There is a lot of information about him and I found it interesting he came FROM OMAHA 1887 moving to Hawaii in 1936 Had a Studio in Waikiki and made the massive batik wall hangings with Polynesian themes for the new Kaiser Hawaiian Village that was constructed by Henry J. Kaiser, the industrialist who built the Hoover Dam and Grand Coulee Dam It is now It is the HILTON Hawaiian Village on Beautiful Waikiki Beach Myron is also credited as being one of the original designers of the Aloha Shirt I can see these framed in a Koa or Hawaiian wood frame with the Grass Cloth liner to fit the space you want - These Tropical flowers will make a statement in your Tiki Room on the Hawaiian Lanai or anywhere you need to create a tropical theme - These have never been framed and remain in Very good plus plus condition ;~) please see the pictures I have not seen another set to compare these to so that will make these a unique statement piece for your décor ;~) Be creative with them ....
