Story of the stamps

I was cleaning out my desk after the rush of final exams were finished (I am a teacher, so I try to tidy as much as I can right at the end of semester). I stumbled across a folder that had been pressed between to larger textbooks, and discovered it was filled with unused stamps from the 1990's and early 2000's that my grandmother had in her home.

My grandmother had been an avid letter writer, a passion she passed down to me in my childhood. Together, we would compose letters to pen pals across the globe, weaving tales of our lives and dreams onto pages adorned with her unique stamp collection. From exotic landscapes to historic figures, her stamps were a testament to her curiosity and love for the world beyond our own.

Finding them again was like unearthing a treasure trove of memories. But rather than keep them hidden away, I felt compelled to share their beauty with others. And so, I turned to eBay, where each stamp found a new home and a new story to tell. In doing so, I not only honored my grandmother's legacy but also rediscovered the joy of connecting with others through the written word, just as she had taught me so many years ago.
