This
is a very nice vintage
Saint Ignatius de Loyola
medal. This pendant
measures 1" in length
and just under .75"
across. It is made of a
silver colored metal of
some kind. The back has
no design on it. The
front of the medal has
an image of St Ignatius
de Loyola.
St
Ignatius de Loyola began
life as a soldier, but
eventually went on to
become a Spanish
Catholic priest. This
theologian (and six
others) founded the
Society of Jesus aka the
Jesuits. He is the
patron saint and
protector of soldiers.
Condition:
I have left the patina
on this so you may want
to polish it when you
get it. Both sides show
a lot of wear.
Please
examine the photos in
the gallery (where you
can blow up the image)
carefully.
