Myers & Company, Chautauqua Park, Valparaiso, Indiana, 1913.  Interested read  "Explaining by word and illustration the source pictures of vocations comprised in the Chautauqua Industrial Art Desk." 126 pages in length, it is an instructional book to help boys and girls to acquire habits of reading and study, work and play.  Included are testimonials from users and owners of the desk and other instructional systems, a brief history of the company, and a wide variety of projects and activities that can be completed and skills that can be acquired using the Chautauqua desk. Some of these include writing shorthand; bookkeeping for business; industrial drawing, and portrait and landscape drawing.

This book is in good condition showing wear from use and age. Cover and pages has some minor staining with some wear on the spine. Stamp on the first page with name Elmer Schoedel, 1934. Please see all pictures for condition. A fascinating read perfect for anyone in education or interested in early 1900's American life.
