This is an economical multi-load transfer switch. This panel provides safe single feed transfer from home to your generator for up to 16 circuits that are designated for use during a power outage. Compact, all-steel, rain proof design completely isolates the generator from the utility power with manual switching action. This design eliminates the need for an expensive DPDT switch. No more illegal back feeding, or dangerous double male ended extension cords. You simply mount this panel next to your breaker panel and transfer your “emergency” circuits/breakers to the transfer switch/breaker panel. Installation time varies. (apx. 3 hours) When power goes out, you simply start your generator and flip the transfer switch and all the circuits in this panel regain power. Then when the utility power is restored the circuits not powered through this box re-energize, alerting you to flip the transfer switch back to utility power and shut down your generator. (I plug a radio into a dead outlet so it wakes me when the power is restored). Indoor surface-mount design.
