Lagerhinweis:

Polyamid ist ein hygroskopischer Kunststoff. Das bedeutet, dass das Material Wasser aufnimmt, aber auch wieder abgeben kann.
Bei einem Normklima von 23 °C und 50 % relativer Luftfeuchte ist für Polyamid die Sättigung mit Wasser bei ca. 2,5 % erreicht.
Die mechanischen Eigenschaften – insbesondere die Flexibilität und die Mindesthaltekraft – werden maßgeblich vom Wassergehalt beeinflusst.
Für die optimale Verarbeitung der Kabelbinder ist es daher wichtig, dass sich das Polyamid mit einem Wassergehalt von ca. 2,5 % im Gleichgewichtszustand befindet.

Die Qualität und Verarbeitbarkeit der Produkte wird also durch den Wassergehalt beeinflusst. Darum ist auch die richtige Lagerung der Produkte entscheidend.

Und sollten Ihre Kabelbinder doch einmal spröde geworden sein:

Für den privaten Bereich können spröde Kabelbinder durch die Lagerung in Wasser für ca. 30–60 Minuten wieder nahezu ihre ursprüngliche Flexibilität erreichen.

Storage advice:

Polyamid is a hygroscopic plastics. That means the material absorbs water and can also evolve water.
At a standard climate of 23 °C and 50% relative humidity the polyamid reaches saturation of water at ca. 2,5 %.
The mechanical characteristics - above all flexability and tensile strength - are significantly influenced by its content of water.
It is therefore very important for the use of cable ties that the polyamid has a stable water content of 2,5 %.

The quality and processablity of the product is also influenced by its water content. Therefore the appropriate storage of the product is essential.

Should your cable ties nethertheless became refractory:

For private use you can lay the cable ties into water for ca. 30-60 minutes and they reach almost the original flexability.
