Yes, these are louder than stock, but not nearly as loud as open or drag pipes!
The Muffler comes with the baffle shown, with fiberglass packing!

As always, check the size! there must be 20 different 4:1 systems for an XS, and they are all different & i have no way of knowing what you have! lol ..... anyways, the diameters it will fit are listed in the auction text, and you can always have a muffler shop make you a reducer or adaptor! :-) So just measure the diameter of the pipe you want to slip the muffler on, and compare it to the sizes that these mufflers will fit! You can make it work if you want to!... It has a deeper throaty sound, not like a typical crotch rocket, you'd want a Kerker or Vance and Hines vintage setup for that! best steve | |

A: it can be put on any bike if you have the right size outlet on your header, or if you can make an adaptor.
the size range that this muffler will fit without a special adaptor or reducer is listed in the auction text.
as stated in the listing, it comes with 3 sizes of reducers to fit several sizes.
Sorry, I have no idea what the size / diameter of your header pipe is.
I have seen them installed on many CB550's- in fact you can see pics in this ebay listing:
there are 3 CB550's shown with this muffler. they all required a special adaptor to fit the muffler to the much
larger size 4:1 collector.
any muffler shop can make one.
