A thorough discussion would require pages of dialogue, which is why we at EcoPods are so passionate about what we do. 

By purchasing an EcoPod, you are preventing hazardous electronic waste leakage into the environment, making sure 'recycled' iPods are not shipped to third-world countries and carelessly thrown into heaps near villages, and avoiding the ecological footprint left by the manufacturing and delivery directly associated with purchasing new products.   

Even small electronics like iPods contain very harmful toxins and carcinogens, such as silicon, tin, lithium, nickel, and beryllium oxide to name a few. 

These materials leak into the environment relatively easily and have proven to have terrible effects on the water supply, nearby animal life, and of course, humans.  

Most major electronics retailers accept iPod returns or offer discounts for trade ins. These 'returned' iPods are sent to a central processing facility which then throws them away or 'recycles' them.  The discarded iPods leach toxins in landfills all across our country. 

Numerous studies have shown that most of our electronics wastes and ‘recycling’ end up in very poor areas in China, India, and Kenya where locals rummage through piles of discarded electronics looking for certain valuable parts. We purchase our parts from US suppliers almost exclusively. Yes, we are spending more money for our parts, but that is indicative of our commitment to fellow American businesses. 

Let’s not pull the carpet out from under ourselves. Why buy foreign just to save a dollar – its only going to make everything more expensive in the long run.

A Wee Advice:

By far, the number one 'killer' of iPods is moisture. We know this since we repair hundreds of iPods and have seen almost every possible method of iPod destruction. 

Thus, we highly recommend you to purchase some sort or protection for your iPod. We purposely do NOT sell protectors for our EcoiPods because we do not want people to think that this is a sales pitch and we trying to sell them something or just squeeze out a few more dollars. 

We really just want you to enjoy your EcoiPod as long as possible. So do yourself a favor and get some form of protector!


Packaging and Shipping:

All of our EcoiPods can come in the popular gift box upon request (we don't offer original Apple packaging, sorry), which is made of 100% recycled materials and made in America! 

Even the charming twine ribbon is made in America and of recycled fibers!

After you win the auction, please notify us if you would like a set of earbuds or the USB cable - we will NOT ship with these free items unless you request them, afterall, our goal is to reduce electronics wastes. 

In most cases, we can send your new EcoiPod within 24 hours of payment! Sometimes, we are even able to ship same day depending on time of payment.

Warranty Information:

If you check out warranty's from the 'others', you will notice that some vendors offer "DOA" warranty's (or "Dead On Arrival). This is an indicator of low quality, as a company is pumping out so many iPods with such low craftsmanship that they can't even promise you it will work when you open it. 

Yikes. 

This isn't even a thought for our EcoiPods, as we've put in more than 14 hours of testing to quadruple check all systems as fully operational. 

In the three year history of our Company, we've never had a non-operational iPod arrive to one of our customers. Ever. 

Additionally, we offer a full warranty through SquareTrade - by far the best online warranty provider with years of experience and millions of customers. We seriously doubt you'll ever need to use this warranty considering our workmanship and perfect history of functioning iPods, but the warranty is there for those who would like to take advantage.

International:

All international bidders must email first to get a shipping estimate for their location – this will just be an estimate from the USPS website. 
We welcome any international bidders, but please know there are some possible issues with import or/and duties and associated fees. We usually mark shipments as gifts and do not declare a value to avoid fees. 
If you desire insurance for your international shipment, know this will dramatically increase shipping costs. 
If you are an international bidder with less than 4 feedbacks, or none in the last 6 months, you MUST contact us first! (If you win our auction without contacting us first, we reserve the right to cancel your bid and offer someone else a 'Second Chance', so please please contact us first). 

Other: 
For any possible scammers – we have recorded every part of our iPods in our permanent files.  
Additionally, we have specially ‘marked’ each part with ink only visible under ultraviolet light.
