- Filter Type:
Reverse Graduated neutral density filter, also known as Reverse ND grad filter.
Has the opposite effect of the regular ND Grad, where the transition from clear to dark starts in the top, In the Reverse ND Grad the transition from dark to clear starts in the middle to enable better control over the horizon Illumination especially in cases like sunrise or sun set where the horizon is the most bright part in the frame. Balances Foreground to Horizon
Graduated neutral density filters are especially needed in contrasty landscapes or scenes where balancing of light intensity between parts of the frame is needed. For example bright skies with darker lower scenery. Graduated neutral density filters are partially clear and partial dark (Neutral density effect). Available in 1-4 stops light reduction.
This filter is only available in a soft edge style. The transition will be gradual, subtle and even from horizon to the top of the filter.
The filter is clear in the lower half but, as mentioned, graduates from dark to light towards the top. This holds your foreground while "toning down" the horizon line and upper half of the image.
- Filter Effect:
ND 0.9 3 stop of neutral light reduction - in the middle of the filter, Reverse transition from middle to top(between dark and less darker areas)
The filter is clear in the lower half but transfers from dark in the middle to less dark towards the top.
This holds your foreground well exposed while reducing the horizon line light intensity, and gradually less towards The upper half of the image.
