Jensen Interceptor Mk1

The Mk1 Jensen Interceptor was a sporting GT-class car hand-built in the UK between 1966 and 1969.

The car broke with Jensen tradition by having a steel bodyshell and by having the body designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than in-house. The early bodies were Italian-built by Vignale before production by Jensen began in West Bromwich.

Capable of accelerating from 0-60 in 7.3secs and on to a top speed 133mph, the Chrysler V8 displaced 6276 cc, producing 325 bhp and 425 ft/lb of torque and was provided with a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels through a limited slip differential in a conventional Salisbury rear axle.
