The cost-saving solution for rebuilding Mavic® cassette hubs.Does your rear hub make a loud howl while coasting? Is the rear hub binding or turning in to a fixed gear? Grab the cassette and check side to side play. If it's more than two sprocket thicknesses, and your freehub howls, then your hub bearings are worn out!  No worries!  The HubDoctor new inner bushing will fix that for a fraction of the cost of a new hub! 

The HubDoctor new inner bushing is manufactured out of state of the art plastic and is tested and proven to last up to 2 times longer than the original bushing! (PV9700 rated). Now with 10% longer length and 50% thicker flange, fits perfectly and is twice as dense as the competition and much stiffer. Compared to plain clear Nylon, this material is stronger; lower friction coefficient or friction .1%; more heat and wear resistant, and will not absorb water. Nylon can absorb up to 13% compared to 0.3% for our bearing. And our bearing is made completely round on the flange so it fits just like the original part!

Included with your replacement bushing are step-by-step installation instructions, with photos, that walk you through every step, so it makes it easy to service your own freehub!

How to determine what size replacement bushing to purchase:  To see which bushing size to purchase, standard or .003 or .005 oversized, take the freehub off the rear wheel and measure the hub surface next to the rubber seal which is all the way inside the hub. A digital caliper or 2" micrometer works best.  If your hub measures .984-.983" order the standard size. If your hub measures, 979 -.978 the .003 over this the .005 oversized bushing fits best. Hubs with this much wear are always worn past the anodize layer and subject to more rapid wear because the bare aluminum is softer than the anodized hub surface. The HubDoctor Pro is a longer lasting alternative.
