Vintage Visconti - very difficult to find!

The technique requires multiple layering and drying times. The technique consist of cutting five to ten horizontal lines across the bark of a ten year old Chinese lacquer tree. Then one must extract the sap from the bark which contains urushiol, the oil in poison ivy which causes the rash. The sap is filtered, heated, and colored before it is applied. It may take months to complete just one pen.

Only 100 ever made in Black Urushi.

Similar to Sailor Urushi and Dunhill-Namiki Urushi style pens, each features a 14k gold nib. These pens are the same size as the Montblanc 149. When posted, it is longer than the Montblanc 149.
