Die Protektoren von GBRacing zeichnen sich durch sehr gute Passgenauigkeit, leichte Montage und hohe Abriebfestigkeit aus. Im Gegensatz zu Protektoren aus Carbon, die in der Regel geklebt sind, werden die Protektoren von GBRacing per Schrauben befestigt. Nicht zuletzt ist die Wärmeleitfähigkeit der GBRacing Protektoren höher als bei Carbon, was eine verbesserte Motorkühlung gewährleistet.

Die GBRacing Motordeckel Protektoren bestehen aus 60% langglasfaserverstärktem Polyamid Kunststoff vom Typ Nylon 6.6. Das Nylon ist fest, flexibel, Öl und feuerbeständig und vor allem extrem stoßfest. Die Glasfasern absorbieren viel Energie vor und nach einem Bruch. Bruchrisslinien werden um die Faserenden geleitet, was zu einem begrenzten Bruchbereich führt. Die Befestigung erfolgt über eingesetzte Metallbuchsen. Die benötigten Schrauben und eine Montageanleitung befinden sich im Lieferumfang.

GBRacing uses an engineering grade, 60% long glass fiber nylon 6.6 throughout all its bolt on Secondary Engine Covers. This nylon is stronger, more flexible, oil and fire resistant and most of all extremely impact resistant. The long fibers absorb more energy before and after fracture initiates. Fracture crack lines are forced around the fiber ends, resulting in a limited fracture area. The attachment is made by metal bushings. The screws needed and assembly instructions are included.
