Through the years the VT1100C 1987-1996 was equipped with different CDI units.
The only difference between the original CDI units is the presence or absence of a green/orange cable.
This cable is connected to the interlock system of the bike; and has to be grounded to make the bike run.
Since the part number is often difficult to find on the original CDI,
Wieltronics chose to combine the different units into one.

If your bike is equipped with this interlock cable:
Connect the green/orange cable to the green/orange cable from the wiring loom of the bike,
and leave the additional green cable disconnected.

If your bike is not equipped with the interlock cable:
Connect the green/orange cable to the green cable,
this will bypass the interlock system, and enable you to run the bike.

The TuneBox software (screenshot on the right) allows you to:
• draw your own ignition-curve(s)
• adjust the rev-limiter(s)
• program up to two different curves into the CDI unit:
if you choose to order this CDI with the 2 curves option, a switch will be provided that connects to the CDI, and allows you to switch between the 2 curves (the switch can be mounted on the handlebar)
