Printed by A. Colish for the original limited edition of “Georgia O’Keeffe”, Viking Press 1976. This is NOT your average art print. This print is double sided, because these prints were made from the plates used for the book, “Georgia O’Keeffe" 

The original painting of Open Clam Shell is from 1926- Oil on Canvas; 20 x 9; Private Collection

The other side features Shell on Red, original painting is from 1931- Oil on Canvas; 40 x 30; from the Collection of Loretta and Robert K. Lifton

The printer, The Press of A. Colish, has probably been the most trusted and highly regarded printer of O'Keeffe's works. A. Colish produced the 120 color plates for the volume accompanying the 1988 centennial exhibition of O'Keeffe's works at Washington's National Gallery of Art.
