KCA Kable Blue 8 Gauge Power Wire - 5'

Kolossus Copper Aluminum Kable (KCA Kable) has arrived! The KCA Kable uses the same ultra flex PVC found in the Kolossus Fleks Kable and the  Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) conductor from the KLMX Kable. Copper Clad  Aluminum (CCA) is made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. CCA overall  provides a cost effective solution to most audio systems. Assembled from stranded 34 gauge CCA, the KCA Kable is equal in size to the Kolossus  Fleks Kable, but is designed for lighter current loads and not  lightening your wallet. By using an area of 12.81mm^2 of CCA, the cable  is nearly equal to 7 gauge. This over sizing offsets the use of the CCA  compared to standard sized 8 made of OFC. So you get equal performance  and at sizable savings.

Beware of imitation cables that are more jacket then conductor, be sure to see or obtain cross section measurements or pictures.

Price is per 5' - Need 15'? buy a qty of 3 and receive one 15' section of wire

Specifications

Core Material: 34 Gauge Copper Clad Aluminum
Length: Sold per foot
Dielectric: Ultra Flex PVC
Outer Diameter: 7.5mm
Core Diameter: 5mm (estimated)
Max Load: 50A @ 20'
Overview: KCA Kable Power / Ground  Wire consists of over sized, 34 gauge stranded, copper clad aluminum  (CCA)conductors. Because we are using CCA, the KCA Kable has been over  sized to offset the higher resistance of the CCA compared to that of an  OFC cable. Following the load chart above, the use of the KCA Kable  follows accepted indusry standards for voltage drop over the rated  distance. Applications include mobile audio and other 12V automotive  applications. The KCA Kable features an ultra flex matte PVC jacket that makes it bend to any radius and stable in temperatures from -40C to  105C. NEON Colors available include Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, and Yellow - This listing is ONLY for BLUE!

Notes: While our KCA Kable is over sized, most manufacture’s terminals will still fit our cables

Product FAQ

Can this power wire be used as ground wire too?
Yes, there is no physical difference between power or ground cable. We do recommend using two different color wires to differentiate between positive and negative connections though.
What is OFC or CCA?
OFC stands for Oxygen Free Copper, it is the most common conductor used in mobile audio at the moment. Copper is increasing in cost though and Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) has continued to grow in popularity. KnuKonceptz was an earliy adopter to CCA as we saw that when used properly, CCA would make a cost effective alternative to OFC. The main difference is CCA is less conductive then OFC, so we made our CCA cable oversized to offset this difference. By using more CCA in our cable then a standard OFC model, we can offer a product at a 50% price savings and yet only have a 15% difference in performance. Making CCA a very good bang for the buck product.
