Born in 1928 in the United States, Andy Warhol's career took off in 1949 when he started as a commercial artist in New York. He illustrated articles and designed ads for high- profile fashion magazines such as Glamour, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. With his very characteristic artistic style, he rapidly became the darling of New York.

The mini ballpoint comes in the same bright red pop color as the Elvis Presley portrait, matching the ligne 2 lighter. The cap, in sterling silver, is inscribed with Andy Warhol's famous quote "In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes," signed with Andy Warhol's signature.

Each Elvis Presley Ballpoint is numbered from 1 to 1964, the year when Warhol produced his portrait and which inspired this limited edition. Ours is #256/1964.
