  Material:  Painted wood sides and thin spines and painted silk.    

Features:   The following listing is for a Vintage Old Wooden and Silk Woman's Asian Wood Fan with Mini Provenence which was used by Women  which is quite old with little wear.  This delicate fan has opaque body of thicker wood with white painted without design on the end pieces on the outside and thiner wood spines holds the one layer of silk is supported by spines which hold the silk secure.  There is no loop but fan is attached at base with metal secured by an original pin/nail and each of the supports/spines of the fan are intact with original silk.  The detailed design is artistically printed and painted on the forward facing fan in a multi-color presentation of red, black, pink and white Junkett or ship on a sheer backround with pink floral border intwined with white fluid lines.  Gold tone foil-like material ornates the top edge of the silk. Original box with mini-provenence of named original buyer who gifted to a named niece.  Remained in the family until recently.    

Size:   This item is approximately; 8 inches (20.25 cm) height by 14" (35.5 cm) length across when open.

Age: 1930s-50s approximately.          

Condition:   Condition is subjective but item is used and wear is evident as seen in the photographs.  Used with minimal wear to the fan. The original box has three holes as if a pencil was pushed through it.  Tear on side of box.  Please look at the photographs as part of the description.  I may not have caught everything so please rely on pictures as part of description.
