Here I have an antique sterling silver and paste set buckle. It's fully hallmarked for sterling silver on the back, from the Chester Assay Office, with the maker's initials AJS. The date letter is a little ambiguous and could be 1832 or 1897.

Measures 7.0cm by 2.8cm.
Weighs 16.3 grams.

Condition: Fair uncleaned vintage condition. No missing pastes though a couple have lost all the claws which would have originally held them in and have been glued back in place at some point. Several also have chips, the worst is illustrated with a pink arrow, but they are all only visible on very close inspection. Originally it would also have had 3 prongs on the bar in the centre but these have been lost.

International buyers PLEASE READ:

I do not ship ANY single items valued at over £250 internationally unless the buyer pays for DHL delivery (price varies with location but it's usually over £55).
