This is an early handled tinned copper jug. Approximately 3" up from the base and 3 1/4" down from the mouth there is a beautiful dovetail that wraps around the circumference of the body. The handle contains hand hammered details and four large rivets. The jug measures 19" high by approximately 9 3/4" wide and it weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. There are two other tinned copper jugs that I will be listing that are roughly the same size and age as this piece. They were all purchased from the same estate.

Condition:

The rivet in the handle where the handle attaches to the lid appears to have been replaced at some point. Normal age related wear.

Packages are shipped daily Monday through Saturday, so your item will arrive quickly! We ship via the US Postal Service unless noted. All packages include Delivery Confirmation and insurance. Based on new USPS rules and regulations for overseas shipping we can not track Priority Mail packages. Any packages being mailed overseas will need to be shipped via Priority Express to ensure trackable delivery.
