Benefits of Glass Etched Reticles and Illumination
Glass-etched reticles are way superior to wire for several reasons, most notable is how much more crisp, fine and clean your view is when you look thorough the scope - beautiful it is!

A glass etched reticle, also cannot be broken. Anyone who has shot enough has seen a wire reticle actually break within the reticle field. As the reticle design is etched into the reticle lens, it is static and cannot physically be broken.

All Hawke scopes that are illuminated use the superior glass-etched reticles which as the added benefit of zero internal light reflection which occurs to some extent in illuminated scopes with wire reticles.

This superior design requires an additional cost, but even if you don’t plan to use the illumination, the glass-etched reticle is a feature with value to the shooter.

Illuminated Reticle (IR)
Ideal for low light or very bright light. In such conditions targets and background can appear dark or be in shadow. When this happens seeing your aim point on the reticle can be very difficult. The solution - turn on the IR to get instant contrast. You can adjust the brightness to suit conditions and find perfect contrast.

Simple, fast turret adjustment
New low-profile turrets make adjustments easy and repeatable with coil erector spring ensuring there will be no shifts in zero

Side focus parallax adjustment, with a range of 10 yards to infinity.
Parallax is the term that describes the difference in angles between objects that are seen up close and those seen far away. When you look at telephone poles pass by on the side of the road, those closest to your car seem to pass very fast, while the ones far away seem to go very slow. That difference is due to parallax.

The reticle in your scope is like a telephone pole that's very close. If you move your head on the stock while watching the target through the scope, it's probably possible to see the reticle move against the target. That affects where you perceive the aim point to be, and that affects your accuracy.

Parallax focus reduces this phenomenon to the greatest extent possible.

This enables you to be parallax free and in focus at all target distances.

The 40mm wheel can be used to give finer operation. It does not need to be used and can be taken off and put on as required.

Flip-Up Covers
Included are two metal flipup covers to protect the lenses when not in use. Each cover has a key for attaching it to the rifle scope.

Anti-Glare Sunshade
The sunshade can be attached to the rifle scope by screwing it into the objective thread.

UK export process for sales of telescopic scopes of 10x or more maximum magnification

Type 1 - Fast Track Open Export License - no shipping delay

For customers in the EU, Australia, Canada, Chile, Falklands, Faroes, Greenland, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Japan, Macedonia, Malaysia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland the export process is quick and easy. We email you a simple 1 page paper for signature  (just your signature, no questions or anything else to write and you do not get recorded on any official databases etc). You sign it and email or post back and we can ship right away.

Other areas we can still ship to but there will be a delay = Type 2.

Type 2 - Export Permit - 2-4 week shipping delay

If you do not live in one of the countries listed above then - with the exception of EU and UN arms sanctions destinations - we can still ship to you if your country allows the import of rifle scopes. Please check if unsure.

However there will be a 2-4 week shipping delay while we obtain the necessary export permit.

Type 2 Process -

We email you an export paper after you buy. You print it. Sign it. Email to us.

We apply for permit, Permits take 2-4 weeks to be approved. Once approved we ship.

We cannot ship Type 2 orders before export permit approval so if the process or delay are not acceptable please do not buy.

There are some destinations we cannot ship to due to UK/EU/UN sanctions, insurance issues or known import restrictions against scopes.
