    HOW IT WORKS: White/Clear Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper

                    You will need: Hair Dryer, Ruler, Scissors, Tissues/Towel

STEP 1:  Design your decals using any graphic software program. Use 8 1/2 " x 11" sheet INK JET Decal Paper or cut sheet

STEP 2:

 Set your printer as follows:
              Resolution = Best
              Paper = Photo Gloss
(glossy "Film" setting in your printer driver)
               -
Print your decal on the glossy side of Inkjet Decal Paper-

STEP 3: Spray your printed sheet evenly with Kryon Acrylic Crystal Clear High Gloss spray until the sheet has a shine (2-3 coats). Allow 30 to 60 minutes to dry and set ( This product can be found at any local craft or hardware stores such as Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Wal-mart, ect. Any acrylic clear coat spray will work.) Apply the fixative to the whole page. Do not cut out individual decals and apply fixative, because the edges of the paper will absorb the fixative making it impossible to slide the decal paper off.

STEP 4: When the fixative clears (or dries ). Cut out each individual decal image using a standard pair of sharp household scissors.

STEP 5:Place decal ( dip in warm water, not hot water ) into a cup of clean water for 45-60 seconds and remove when the thin decal film begins to roll up and if so it will then straighten out again. When the film starts to loosen from the paper.(Discard backing material after the decal has been removed ) Do not leave paper for long time ( over a minute ) in the water.

STEP 6: Apply decal to clean non-porous surface; ceramic, glass, metal, plastic, soap, candles, myllar balloons, model trains, planes, cars, etc. Work out air bubbles with decal squeegee and let dry. It is important to remove all water and air bubbles.

Note: You can speed up drying time by placing your decorated objects under / near a fan. If you wish to protect your decorated item from surfacr scratches, moisture, or fading, spray your dried decorated surface with acrylic varnish spray.

                        Using Laser printers
  • Easily create original pieces of art work to accent your decor
  • Ideal for applying to non-porous surfaces including painted wood, glass, plastic, melamine, soap, metal and wax
  • Use clear paper for light backgrounds
  • Use white paper for dark backgrounds
  • Only for items that will be handwashed (will not stand a trip in the dishwasher!)

IMPORTANT: Prior to printing, remove each sheet from its storage bag and leave it in a warm, dry room. If you get bleed or drag from your ink it means that the paper has not been left to reach room temperature. This problem can occur during cold damp months.

Clear acrylic spray is not required for this paper.

   HOW IT WORKS: WHITE/CLEAR LASER WATERSLIDE DECAL PAPER

You will need: Hair Dryer, Ruler, Scissors, Tissues/Towel

STEP 1: Edit the size and shape of your image.

STEP 2: Print the image on the glossy coated side of the paper.

STEP 3: Next, cut out the image with a pair of scissors or a craft knife.
*If you are using the white paper, cut out very carefully around the image, if you leave any border around the image they will appear later.
*If you are using the clear paper, you can leave a small boarder around the image since it's clear, you won't be able to see it.

STEP 4: Once the decal has been cut out, place the decal  into a bowl of water leave for up to 30 seconds.
*In cold weather use warm water.
*Before you place the decal onto your project, wet the surface of your project with water. This will allow you to move the image easily so you can position it in the right place.

STEP 5: If you have soaked the decal for long enough, you will be able o feel the backing paper and decal transfer easily slipping. (Do not remove at this stage) Take the decal out of the water and place it facing up onto your project. Then carefully slip the decal paper slightly and attach the lip of the decal on the surface.

STEP 6: Then gently pull the backing of the paper away leaving the decal transfer to stick to the surface while supporting the decal at the same time with your other hand.

STEP 7: Once the decal has been attached to the surface, move it around to the desired position. Once you have positioned the decal, use a rubber scraper to remove any water or air bubbles underneath the decal transfer. You can also use a lint free cloth to do this. You need to handle the decal with care at this stage as it is very fragile.

STEP 8: If you leave it out to dry, the decals will dry in 3-4 hours.
*If you are working in a cold environment, we advise you to dry the decals using a hair dryer.
