Yamaha YSL-881 Xeno Trombone – Lacquer (Used Instrument)

Product Description:

Rosehill supplied this instrument (brand new) to one of our customers in March 2015; she loved the instrument and played it in a brass band, however, reluctantly sold it back to our showroom in June 2016 due to financial reasons. It blows very well indeed. Yamaha trombones have a rich and reliable tone.

YSL-881 Trombone Specifications

Condition Description:

Cosmetically, the trombone is in excellent condition. There are no dents, and the lacquer is almost completely unmarked aside from a few small, unobtrusive scratches.

As with all of our instruments, the trombone has been serviced and tested by our brass technician to ensure that it functions fully and plays well.

The current new price in our showroom is £1,951

Hand Slide

The hand slide and tuning slide are both clean, and their action is smooth and continuous. It has obviously had very little use. The hand slide outer legs are in perfect order, the bottom bow assembly has no dents, but two small rust spots (which is quite normal). There is no lacquer wear near the hand hold areas.

Bell Section

This looks to be in perfect condition, without scratches, dings/dents or any wear.

The original Yamaha 51C4L is present and in fair condition.

Case

The original slim-line Yamaha hard case is in good working order. The outer sides have some scuffs and minor scratches.

Rosehill Instruments is a music retail business which has specialised in selling and repairing brass and woodwind instruments since 1967. It was founded by Trevor Austin (father of Paul) who was previously a euphonium player in the Horse Guards (and played on horseback at the Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953). Following long service in the Salvation Army as a player and conductor, his reputation led to requests to supply instruments around the UK and overseas. Rosehill is now led by Trevor's son Paul. The company was awarded a UK government contract in 1999, and since then has been an approved supplier of musical instruments to Her Majesty's military bands. We also repair, refurbish and service all brass band and military band instruments at our workshops in Beaconsfield. As well as drawing customers from all over the UK, we also supply many instruments to bands and players overseas.
