Colonial Virginia

Year: 1590
Size: 20"x28"

This map of Virginia by John White, focused largely on what is present day North Carolina, was the first to use the name Chesapeake (Chesepiooc Sinus) and the second map to use the term Roanoke (Roanoac). Decorated with sailing ships and sea monsters, this very early look at Colonial Virginia is a view into the past. This map, complete with the positions of Indian Villages, its still referenced by historians and researchers to this day.

This Classic Vintage Style poster honors the beauty of this unique art form and evokes the vivid images of simpler times. Each of our prints are custom reproductions printed on 68lb Heavyweight Enhanced Matte Art Paper. These Historic Art Prints are suitable for framing, mounting or direct display on any wall!
