What is collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and is the substance that holds the whole body together. It is found in the bones, muscles, skin and tendons, where it forms a scaffold to provide strength and structure. Exogenous (supplemental) collagen is increasingly used for cosmetic purposes, including to help with healing and repair of the body's tissue. This structural support is what makes skin thick plump, and elastic.

Collagen and the aging process.

Collagen is one of the most essential components of our body. The sufficient production of collagen is associated to skin�s elasticity because of its connective tissue.
