Antique Asian or Japanese Attendant Hina is either from the Early Tasho or Meiji. This type of attendant who assisted in providing protection to Imperial Family. Would originally have had a bow and arrow or sword but does not come with this weapon(s). Unusual styling of face, I've not seen before with defined pointy chin. Appears to have inset enamel eyes, silk hair, elongated throat dowel connecting the head to the body and allows the head movement and to be removed. Typical black dots at forehead, black stipple-painted detail of hair around the face, black possibly silk hair, unarticulated body with wooden arms, attached silk costumes. Painted features on gofun over wood on head, hands. Probably would sit/stand with similar type of attendants. Wearing white pants with red/purple brocaid robes. If this doll has any flaws, they would be listed in the condition report below. Height is 3.5 inches (9 cm) approximately in height feet to top of hair.
Condition: Head has wear to paint and face, chip under left eye on cheek, right side of face on 3 places (including where gofun and raw wood of dowel is at). Rubs on gofun. Please look at photographs carefully and as questions about condition if necessary.

Your satisfaction is important to us. We combine shipping to save you money. If a listing offers free shipping, this would be for the lower 48 states and we would choose the most cost efficient but safest method of shipping. The State of Michigan requires that that purchases by Michigan buyers be taxed at Michigan's tax rate. We combine purchases for shipping to reduce shipping cost to the buyer if items are combined by using Cart option and purchased on the same day since we try to ship with 1 business day. Return is accepted within 14 days but the buyer pays both shipping to them (buyer) and return to us with tracking and coverage for loss and damage, and item must be received in the condition sent. If damaged during shipping, contact us immediately and if needed we will assist you in filing a claim.
Sincerely, Chase Homestead
