This listing is for a Märklin 4033 Österreichische Bundesbahn (Austrian Federal Railways) Type Bc4üm Second-Class Couchette Coach. This model is of a standard coach built beginning in the 1950’s and used singly or in multiple on express trains during Epoch III. This model would be the staple basic coach for any vintage Märklin layout with an image of the late 1950’s through the mid-1960’s. A typical ÖBB express train would include one or more of these coaches. Märklin catalogued this car beginning in 1961 with two variations, of which this particular model is the first variation (1961-1964), having the window frames and handrails lithographed on the body and pre-UIC inscriptions. This one-owner car is in better than excellent condition, was never run on a layout and comes in the original green box, TCA grade C-8 to C-9.
