Beautiful brand new sliding rose holy medal of nickel silver from Italy. The medal slides open to reveal the image of St Anne de Beaupre on one side and the beautiful basilica in Quebec, Canada where St Anne has worked countless miracles. The rose -shaped locket is a bit difficult to slide open at first although it will be easier to open the more you slide it.
The medal is about 5/8" across at the widest part, and is not much thicker than a regular holy medal. Stainless steel continuous neckchain is 24" in circumference with no clasp; so it's easy to slip on and off over your head. (fits most heads).
St Anne de Beaupre is the grandmother of Jesus; also known as St Ann. The St Anne de Beaupre is the name of the Basilica in Quebec which is quite beautiful. Our family obtained healing for my mother, uncle and others during several visits to St Anne de Beaupre's and we consider her our special family patron saint. My mother always said that Jesus does not like to say no to His Grandma!
St Ann, whose name means "grace", is the recipient of the miracle recognized by Roman Catholics, the Immaculate Conception of the child Mary. Most Catholics know St Ann through non-Biblical ancient writings and traditions.
