According to an article I found on line, (included in the photos), These berths were being build in the 1800 by Zephys, Hoskins & Son for Steamer ships, made of Metal & Brass. The item is branded: Zephyr, Hoskins & Son Ltd, Neptune Works Patent Trinity Street Birmingham.
This Berth / Cot / Bed is in great vintage condition - some of the clamps on the front are bent. However, this shows superb craftsmanship for the era. I've have included a couple of articles I found on line. Please review
