This necklace is magnificent and whilst very elaborate it isn't at all chunky and it's just the most fabulous quality with an abundance of pretty little enamelled flowers, pearls and Swarovski crystal elements. It has to be said Pilgrim just don't produce jewellery to this level of detail and quality anymore.
It is intended to be worn quite close to the collar/neck base and the details just cascade down.
It features a row of flowers from which hangs a cascade of flattened hoops that are decorated with various cup-set Swarovski crystals and enamelled flowers decorated with tiny pearls and Swarovski crystals. The enamelling is really quite amazing as they have used various types including watercolours (transparent) opaque and shimmering - adds a stunning extra dimension to this breathtaking piece.
The largest flattened hoop measures 3.5 cm/35 mm and the flowers measure from 6 mm up to 1.8 cm/18 mm.
The metal is 100% nickel free satin gold plate. In various colourful shades: yellow, green, coral, orange, blue and pink. The gold has a vintaged patina which has been oxidised, which is so typical of Pilgrim's metalwork.
The necklace is 14.5 inches/38 cm to an adjustable 17.5 inches/45 cm. The extension chain is embellished with the PILGRIM logo charm and has the PILGRIM logo impressed onto the back. The focal section is 6 inches/16 cm by 9.5 inches/24 cm (approx) front drop.
