This is an Extra Long Sportube , which has been custom made by combining 3 sections of standard tubes into one.

Each section is about 1.2 meter which means rods  3 meter long can been carried or stored securely in this tube. In its current state, the shortest it can be collapsed to is 2.2 meter, but of course if you do not need the huge extra length and want to shorten the end tubes to make the overall length shorter, you can simply saw off an appropriate amount off of one or both end tubes to suit your  particular needs
