With its Special Line Conmtact  (SLC) diamond stylus, nude mounted onto a tapered aluminium cantilever, it was made to replace a worn or broken stylus on the metal bodied VM760SLC cartridge.  But thanks to the great interchangeability of styli on AT bodies; this will fit a wide variety of other cartridge bodies and give an instant upgrade.

A year or so ago, Audio Technica revamped their range of excellent MM cartridges renaming it the 'VM Range'. The great thing is that all the similar 'VM' style cartridge bodies allow the stylus assemblies to be interchanged.  As a result, if you have a cartridge from the previous model range  (eg a 440 Mla, 440 MLb, AT150MLX, AT150Sa) this stylus will fit and by the way, give a huge upgrade on the Microline and Shibata styli.

And if you have a cartridge from the new VM range, with one of the cheaper styli fitted  (conical, eliptical or microline, Shibata), this VMN60SLC will fit perfectly and give an instant upgrade.
