Malcolm Young’s 1963 Gretsch 6131 Jet Firebird
Malcolm’s battle-hardened 6131 Jet Firebird began life in 1963 as a red Gretsch Jet Firebird.
Handed down by elder brother George and nicknamed The Beast, Malcolm certainly made it his own, not least by stripping away the red finish and removing two pickups.
The Beast has been the rhythm powerhouse behind AC/DC’s high voltage rock since the 1970’s.
The illustration on this card was hand drawn by George Morgan and is not a photograph.
